Brand Driver Frequently Asked Questions

 

How do I qualify for the Brand Driver Program?
You must have a current driver’s license with a clean driving record, be at least 21 years of age and you must complete the
Driver Profile Form to be considered.  The form is detailed and includes an interactive map which you create, highlighting your various activities.  The more detailed you are, the better information we can provide prospective clients. (See Driver Criteria for further details)

 

How am I able to be paid to drive my car or a new car?
Our clients pay us a fee to have vehicles wrapped in their advertising, coordinate the drivers and manage their campaigns which allows us to  compensate you for the use of your vehicle.  Your vehicle must be new or near new, in excellent condition and meet the needs of a client's campaign.  If your current vehicle does not qualify for the program but your driving pattern and activities do and you're in the market for a new vehicle, you can still sign up.  Keep in mind, your decision to purchase a new car does not guarantee your participation in the program.

 

How much can I be compensated for participating in the program?

Compensation will vary based on the vehicle type, commute and other campaign specifics but can range between $300 and $400 per month (even more for select, high-profile vehicles and commutes.)  We will not take ownership of the vehicle or make your payments for you.  Your compensation will be in the form of a monthly service fee, paid at the end of the month, for you to apply to your expenses as you see fit.

 

How will my driving be tracked?

Currently, we have drivers provide monthly reports of their mileage and highlight any special activities where the vehicle received added exposure (sporting event, festival, etc.)  We also schedule routine inspections from time to time to cross check mileage records and ensure the commute is being maintained and the wrap remains in good condition.  GPS tracking is an option we continue to explore as our clients wish to obtain more detail on where their brand has been.  This is a feature we hope to introduce soon. 

 

How long will it take for me start the program?
We are quickly gaining momentum with this concept and continue to pursue new clients.  This takes time and just signing up does not guarantee participation.  Drivers with ideal driving patterns, activities a qualifying vehicle are most likely to appear in our internal search results. If you meet the criteria for a specific campaign and have been selected, we can get you on the road once we’ve completed a full account set-up and had the vehicle professionally wrapped.

 

What types of vehicles are most desirable?

Many models and styles work well for a branded vehicle campaign.  But they do have to be in very good condition, free from any body damage.  If your vehicle is 8 years or older, it is not likely it will be selected.  Although, we have used a 1936 hot rod in a campaign - so if your vehicle is unique in that manner, certainly include it.

 

What expenses will I incur by participating in the program?

Most likely, none.  All general vehicle related expenses will be your responsibility but your monthly fee is designed to offset some of those costs.  It is required that the vehicle be well kept so routine maintenance and cleaning is strongly recommended.  You may need to upgrade your existing insurance coverage if it does not meet the minimum required to participate in the program.  We will address this on a case by case basis. How long will I be compensated using my vehicle?

We offer our clients advertising terms from 3 to 24 months depending on their campaign and budget so your compensation will vary based on those terms.

 

Will there be any damage to my vehicle from the wrap? 

We work with the top applicators in the valley using the highest quality materials and installers that warrant against paint or body damage when the wrap is applied or removed.  At the close of any campaign the wrap will be removed from your vehicle.

 

Will I have any special instructions or be restricted from certain activities?
We created this program to offer impressionable advertisement for our clients as well as address the increasing costs drivers encounter everyday.  So as a Brand Driver, you play a critical role in the success of the campaign and we trust are able to represent the client appropriately once their brand is wrapped on your car.  This means no reckless or erratic driving and refraining form anything that might give off a negative impression.  While you will not have specific tasks other than just using the vehicle as part of your typical commute, we will offer incentives when you find creative ways to get the vehicle noticed.  Use it in a school or community parade, take it to a sporting event and tailgate with it, or drive it down a busy street scene with a lot of foot traffic (Mill Ave, Old Town Scottsdale on weekend evenings) and we'll provide all sorts of prizes (gift certificates, gas cards, event tickets, etc.) when you submit pictures or video of these activities to us. 

We’ll also provide an overview of the the client’s business and (should the client choose to do so) supply you with business cards, brochures, menus, coupons, etc. for potential customers you encounter that might be interested in the client's offerings.  It is very important that you take an active position when approached by someone interested in the company you're advertising for - and not consider yourself 'just a driver' when they ask questions.

On top of this, we offer the advertiser promoDrive which contracts the driver to take the vehicle to a highly populated event (concert downtown, Cardinals stadium before a game, etc.)  These activities would be based on your availability as the Brand Driver and you would be compensated above your flat monthly service fee.

 

Am I free to take the vehicle out of state or on road trips?

Short out of town trips are certainly allowable, however, we do discourage trips exceeding 10 consecutive days since the client is paying for advertisement in this region.  Our intent is not to make you to feel restricted in any way so if you will be taking the vehicle out of town for any extended period of time, just let us know.  In some cases our clients may find a lot of value with exposure in a new region so those trips to the San Diego beaches could be encouraged!

 

What do I do if I’m uncomfortable with the type of advertisement that will go on my vehicle?
It is very important to us and the client that you are completely comfortable with the advertisement on the vehicle.  We have a good sense of what might turn people off and will filter design/brand requests accordingly but you will remain eligible for another campaign should you decide to pass.  Unfortunately, you will not have the option to make design or color selections of the vehicle's wrap but you will be able to preview the wrap layout before it is applied to your vehicle.

 

What happens if I get into an accident or the wrap gets damaged?
You will need to contact us within 24 hours of the accident or when the damage is noticed. We will work with you to get necessary repairs of the vehicle and wrap completed as quickly as possible.

 

What happens if my driving pattern changes due to a move or job change?
Once you've signed up, you're able to access your profile with your email and provided password to make necessary changes.
